A trio of second-born daughters set out on a journey to return to their homeland - Italy. The oldest, Poppy, aunt to the other two younger travelers promises to break the Fontana family curse of the second born daughter - that they will never find love and marry. What follows is a story reaching back generations and an amazing love story set in Europe in Italy and Germany during the time period of the Berlin Wall construction. A wonderful read.
