My daughter asked if we could start school on Monday. so ready or not here we go:)

She didn't want to do anything at all last year so the fact that she asked, well, I'm jumping on the opportunity.

I told her she was going to do a project on the food pyramid. She started on it yesterday. She said "why wait?"

Um, not sure where my real kid is, but this one is looking pretty good:)

I love it when the kids express an interest in learning! I never know when it's going to happen, or what's going to trigger it, but it is always a pleasant, welcomed surprise when it does.

Best wishes for a happy school year!

We started today as well.  My son wasn't overly excited about everything, but we did do 3 days worth of art lessons!  So I was fairly excited about that.

We started lessons last Monday. I like to start slow to get back into routine. My children like it that way too. We all need some time to adjust to a busier schedule. This week we will continue adding subjects until we have our full curriculum. I look forward to doing fourth grade all over again!

We are starting next week but will use this week to get organized (and toss in a few end of the summer pool days!)

We had to take a few weeks off due to my DH having surgery, but are getting back in the swing of things today.

DS & I are both kind of relieved to get back to our schedule.  It's comforting and I always feel like I should be doing so much more when we're not schooling, and yet I never do.  :)
