Ingredients
  • - 1 ½ - 2 lbs of chuck roast
  • - 2-3 c. red/burgundy wine
  • - Garlic powder to taste
  • - 1-2 tsp Savory
  • - 1 lb frozen mixed vegetables
  • - 1 large white onion, chopped
  • - 3-4 c. beef broth
  • - Season salt to taste
  • - Pepper to taste
  • - 6 medium potatoes, peeled/chopped
Directions
In a skillet, brown meat and onion in a small amt of olive oil. When brown, transfer to a soup pan. Deglaze skillet with wine (bring to boil), add to soup pan. Add remaining ingredients to pan. Bring to boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 1 hour.    If you wish to thicken, add cornstarch according to directions on box.
