Wacky kind of delayed love affair, set in 18th C England. Story features bold, bright and free spirited H who holds true to the only man she will ever love. He is a (surprise) secret agent with stress and guilt.

The Marquis of Templeton pretends to be an English dandy to hide the fact that he is really an agent for the Foreign Office. Lady Diana Fordham decides that she is tired of waiting for her true love to come to his senses ...so she decides to take action by running off to Gretna Green and that is how this story begins. This is my favorite book of the Danvers series so far.

Stealing another man's bride was the least of the marquis' sins. Falling in love with her is another matter. It has wit, passion, and adventure. It is sure to leave you smiling. A passionate love story.

I couldn't get into Temple and Diana. I have really liked other books by this author but this was kind of boring. I also didn't find their romance very passionate or romantic. It tried to be but just didn't work for me.
