A nice, quick read. Nostalgic. In her most eloquent way, Phyllis Tickle pays tribute to her dad, and it's a beautiful thing. One note: the PBS page says this book is 80 pages, but it's only half that, so I was a little disappointed and had hoped for more.

(from the back cover) In this eloquent memoir, one of today's most admired spiritual writers shares a story from the heart. In the long winter of 1937, as World War II approached, Phyllis Tickle's father began to crochet a rosette coverlet and he did not stop until the war was over. This simple act became a tangible prayer and a symbol of hope that would shape and inform Phyllis's faith and writing for years to come.
