Nate McHale finds himself traveling toward Greystone Lake, New York, as a hurricane moves along the coast. His thoughts are on his wife Meg and daughter, Livvy, driving to the safety of her parents' home and the patients he left behind. He's traveling to attend the funeral of Lucy Bennett, his first love, whose body emerged recently in the woods after missing for fourteen years.

These mimic the thunder runs of Nate and his friends of so long ago. Who is responsible now and why? Concurrently, authorities discover that Lucy was murdered. Who would do such a thing and hide her body?
Readers will not find a psychological thriller but rather a methodical developing mystery that draw them into the story. Well developed characterization blends with excellent writing and a complex manner. Some answers appear early with missing pieces gradually appearing to complete the story. it's a quite good read!
