Another satisfying chapter in the story of Burracombe, a small Devon village, and its inhabitants in the years following WWII. It is a different world after the war and the inhabitants must struggle with adapting to a world where women are now no longer content to stay home and raise families after their active participation in WWII. As with every village, there are births and deaths that impact the village and its inhabitants. To me, this is the most satisfying of all of the author's series. I love visiting Burracombe!
