My current interest in recycling fabric and utilizing my scrap stash lead me to this book. Ms. Puckett's instructions were easy to follow, and I appreciated the details on color selection, fabric texture, and the sewing instructions. Although published in 1979 (and the blast from the past fashions) the construction instructions are timeless. If you are new to string quilts you most likely will be interested in this book. Note: 90% of the book photos are in black and white, but the finished projects pictures are in color.
