This book is honest, and gripping. It is not a story, but a "stream of consciousness" journal from one of the most gifted writers I have ever read. In this book M. L'Engle chronicles the last summer of her mother's life. She writes with tenderness, insight, and honesty. It is well worth reading...read it slowly, perhaps with a reading group as it sparks great conversation.
