I admit I reallllly struggled through this book. Not sure if it was the writing style, jumping from character to character, from time period to time period, or what. That usually doesn't bother me. I enjoyed the final two chapters. Kit leaves her former life behind, moves to Riverton to take a job in the financially struggling library. She is adamant to maintain distance between herself & anyone due to her past. When a 15 YO homeschooled girl, Sunny, is assigned community service at the library for shoplifting things begin to change slowly.
