Very good. I understand this was the first for this author and I hope she has more. I'll be looking for them! The atmosphere and setting were so well developed. I was chilled to the bone reading the descriptions!
Solid start to this Swedish mystery series. A few compelling characters that seem likely to reappear in future volumes.

This was a good interesting storyline.
Has the makings for a great series and seems to be continuing that way.
Not overly wordy with a nice pace. Didn't seem to lag or slow.
Characters were interesting, you go enough background to move the story and keep you reading. The secondary characters were very good, you hoped to "see" them more.
Different situations converge and it is not pretty, bringing up backstory and leaving your wondering a bit more about certain characters.
Looking forward to the next book.

It's really not worth reading. About one-third of the way through, I started scanning entire pages of text, skipping a lot, just to get to the end to see what happens. If this is what life is like in Sweden, I'm glad I don't live there. However, I'm glad Sweden has a reputation for possessing a good medical-care system, as it seemed like all the characters in the book needed counseling.
