Polly/Pauline goes to Delaware with her husband and daughter on vacation. Adam goes to Delaware as a PI for an investigation involving Polly. She leaves her husband and she and Adam "randomly" meet . . . and fall in love. They both have secrets. Each chapter reveals another secret and the number of secrets keeps building. Polly has quite a past history! The book is well written and well paced as secrets are slowly revealed and the full picture of Polly's past is revealed. I didn't like the character of Polly - at the heart of things she was just evil. And I liked Adam initially but he turned out kind of wimpy to not be able to see through her. Despite not liking the characters I was drawn into the story and always trying to figure out how things would work out in the end.
