I requested a book from another member almost a month ago and after they marked it mailed asked me when I thought it'd arrive and told him I'd let him know as soon as I got it.  I got an email from him two days ago stating "srry but the book will be mailed soon i promise srry".  I emailed him back to confirm what he said, he'd marked it mailed almost three weeks ago and still hasn't mailed it.  He responded by saying that he was sorry but because of money couldn't ship it, but would.

I have a feeling that he's young (and he appreviates a lot of things, bad grammar).  I believe him, but also he shouldn't have marked it mailed and not have mailed it and then contact me 8 days before system action is taken to say he hasn't mailed it.   I feel I should ask him to cancel the order, can I do that?

Let the system do its "thing". If you don't click that the book has been received, it will go "lost in the mail" and you will get your credit back. For more info, go to the help center and type in "lost in mail".

If he's very young - he might be a minor and have no way to get the book mailed easily.  Minors aren't allowed to be members - but they manage to find their way here.  If they never state their age - nothing can be done.  I've run across so many minors here.  Just ask Cheryl!
