Survive is a well written book by popular outdoorsman, Les Stroud. This book is full of useful advice and tips to help you survive most situations. He provides a safe approach to survival unlike survivalist Bear Grylls, who is undoubtedly jumping large gorges, and wrestling alligators as this is being written. Les teaches you to not over exert yourself, and to be as safe as you possibly can and constantly warns you how mortal an injury as small as a blister can truly be when left untreated.
What shines brightest about this book is that it shows you how to accomplish tasks in mulitple ways and it even takes geographic climate into account (Ex: Arctic, Tropic, Desert, etc.). He shows you multiple ways of making fire, shelter, water procurement, food procurment, and navigation.
All in all this is a very well rounded book that I believe may help many, many people.
