Very Southern... so much that this west coast girl felt the urge to visit Savannah. Easy, quick read. Good for a summer day.

If you're looking for a mystery like you'll find from Kellerman or Patterson, this isn't the book for you. The style seems to fit the southern theme: the book wanders and meanders slowly to the point like some lazy river. This was a book I kept wishing I could read more quickly so I could be done with it and move on to something else.

A southern novel located in Georgia about a daughter who returns to her hometown to confront questions surrounding her mother's suicide years ago and her family conflicts.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book, after being thoroughly disappointed by her follow up to Under the Tuscan Sun. A well-crafted story.
