Dorothea attends a film retrospective of her movie career and, having no recollection of ever making one of the films, turns for help to her granddaughter Elizabeth who can only retrieve the truth through a journey back in time.

This book is wonderful on all counts! The plot is interesting and believable. The characters are sympathetic and likable; you really care what happens to them. The historical detail is vivid and you feel like you've traveled back in time. Details about the early movie industry are accurate as well as descriptive and fascinating. Just enough balance between dialogue and prose makes this book an excellent read. If you can find a copy of this book by all means buy it! You will not be disappointed.
