I'm just not reading one of hers but it got put aside for something else but I got lucky - she slipped under the radar at my library! maybe you'd be that lucky too! passion for the game is the one I checked out from the library..

My fave by her is The Stranger I Married. Reading it was like eating cheesecake. All of her books are like cheesecake to me. I have to be in the mood for them but when I am, I devour them!

I agree with Jilian, The Stranger I Married is very good. Also Ask for It and Passion for The Game

Oh yes, The Stranger I Married was yummy!   It's an historical erotica.

I just finished Pleasures of the Night which is the 1st in her paranormal erotica series Dream Guardians - really good story!

Oh goody...just checked and my library has one by her Ask For It, must have sneaked past the censors LOL!

Passion for the Game and A Passion for Him didn't do much for me.  I have it on good authority that The Stranger I Married is much better, so I kept it on my WL and I mean to read it as soon as I can get it.

Pleasures of the Night - definitely.  I actually cried it was so good.  I have Stranger I Married in my TBR pile also.

I think I might put Pleasures of the Night in my WL since so many of you guys think is so good.

I like historicals, so I guess I'll try for The Stranger I Married. Thanks!  I have all these credits and nothing I'm really enthused about ordering, lately.

Do your libraries really refuse to buy erotica? We don't have any Day, but I know they purchase other erotica.

Um.... how erotic is it? I prefer my romance to stay... well, romantic. ;-)

Only book by this auhor I read was Ask For It, since then I have added some of her stuff to WL, but I doubt I'd ever be willing to pay full price for her books.    She seems to be a better writer then Lora Leigh and worst then  Lisa Valdez.   Steam wise, from reading that one book, it was just a extra steamy romance book with lots of C and P words all over the place, Passion by Lisa Valdez was hotter and better written.

Willa - I'd say its along the lines of a Blaze, maybe a bit hotter depending upon the book.  But to me, the writing itself is just terrific.

I agree with Sherri, her writing is pretty hot but still solidly romantic, imo.

Interesting how so many vary in their favorites of hers.  Passion for the Game is my top Sylvia Day read (B+ maybe almost A-) , that's the one I'd recommend to start with..  Ask for It is supposed to be related to this particular trilogy, but I read it read it after those three in the trilogy, and didn't see anything I missed not reading it first, plus I wasn't  crazy about Ask for It (C-) - that one did seem more about the sex and sex words like Tina says, in fact it's my least favorite of all of hers I've read (also hero was a bit overly dominant for me, not much emotional depth in this one, if any).    I also liked the second in this trilogy, Don't Tempt Me (B+) , A Passion for Home a B- , good but a bit of a letdown, characters didn't excite me as much in this one, and I expected more of this hero from his appearances in the previous two books - I was more interested in him in those brief appearances..  Stranger I Married was just a B- for me as well (I tend to grade a bit higher than others, so maybe in C range for them), and liked it less then A Passion for Him.

Pleasures of the Night:Dream Guardians I gave a B, good but not outstanding or as good as  several other author series I'm into; still haven't read the second to see what I think, if she does more with the overall premise, which is what I was looking more for, the world/plot development.

In her early days, she came out with Catching Caroline, which I remember liking and put me on to her; I liked her Bad Boys Ahoy anthology, sexy bad boys, especially Lucien's story - Lucien's Gamble.  Also her Alluring Tales magical short, A Familiar Kind of Magic, feline shifters, though a bit of dominance, it  didn't put me off, maybe because it was a shifter story, and was a fun one.

That's wild because its on my keeper shelf!  Just goes to show how we all have individual tastes.

LOL, Sherri, I don't think any of us agree 100% of the time, even if we do most of it.  I did enjoy it, it was just comparing it to so many other series who's next books I was more anxious to read first - not that I'm not continuing with this series, just not up top of the TBR.  I'm really interested to see what I think of her new paranormal series, SJ Day and I forget the other name she's using as I'm typing this.

I have read The Stranger Married, A Passion For the Game and Ask For It. Ask is the only Day book on my keeper shelf. The sex was indeed hot, but I really liked the well developed emotional element.
