A friend of mine has a copy of this. There are around 2500 symbols organized in the authors own system, which is groups of similar shape styles, so you don't have to know the name of a symbol. You won't find listings of alchemical, zodiac or other type categories so it does make looking a little harder but there are pictures of each symbol listed in the beginning under each category heading. The author does give a description of the symbolic meaning and origin when you go to a page but don't expect great detail or in depth coverage, many descriptions are only a sentence or two but it can be enough. This is the type of book I've been looking for for several years but it never came up under any of my searches on amazon or elsewhere. HTH
