TACO PIE
WHAT YOU NEED
1 lb. ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 pkg taco seasoning*
1/2 cup water
1 15 oz can refried beans
frozen pie crust
1 cup shredded cheddar
WHAT YOU DO
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Brown the ground beef with the onion, drain well.
Add taco seasoning and water, bring to a boil. Reduce
heat and simmer about 15 minutes. Turn off heat and
stir in the can of refried beans.
Pour the mixture into pie crust. Bake for about 15 minutes,
then top with 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Bake for
another 5 minutes, just until the crust is golden and the
cheese is melted.
Cut pie into wedges and serve with chips, salsa*, shredded
lettuce, tomatoes, hot sauce, sour cream, or your favorite
accompaniments!
Serves 4 hungry adults and 2 kids.
