Take me back to the place where worries are no more.
Take me back to the place where happiness was before.
Take me back to the time I believed in visions,
Take me back to the time I made intelligent decisions.
Take me far away from the times of being confused,
Take me far away from the times of being abused.
Who can do this phenominal feat for me,
If only I could control my mind and come out free.
Take me back and make time freeze.
Take me away from this painful degrating disease.
Take me back to the time I could remember my name,
Take me back to the time when my eyes had a flame.
Take me back to a time when my dignity was not gone,
Take me back to a time when I was not all alone.
Who can do this phenominal feat for me
Nobody now, because this disease will not flee.

In Memory of my mother who passed away from Alzheimer Disease.

Tammy, this is a moving piece of writing in memory of your mother. Thank you for sharing it with those of us who are still going through the process with those we love.

Wow--brought tears to my eyes. My mother is currently in rapid decline, so I related to this on a very personal level.
