This was one of the best interracial romance novels that I have read in a long time. The characters were equally professional and likable. The author kept the flow of the story moving I could hardly keep up nor did I want to ever put this book down (not enough hours in the night)lol! The story started out wonderfully romantic, full of sensual desire and energy and just kept on going. I could hardly contain myself. Brenda Jackson definitely knew what she was doing. Ah! Are there any men out there like Tag?

I don't know why others did not enjoy this book. I reread this book twice already and it is simply enjoyable. Renee and Tag are both proper, maybe because they are upstanding citizens and college graduates at that. Secondly, the love scenes were very passionate indeed, and described realisticaly. Of course the book wasn't too raunchy, but that isn't the point of the novel. Thirdly, yes, Tag and Renee could have gone on more dates, but one of the rules for writing a Desire romance novel is to keep it at 187 or so pages, and Brenda Jackson did it expertly. This book had traces of elements of interracial dating problems in it, and it was also mainly about finding true love in a man. Not a white man, black man, whatever, but simply a good man. I give this book two thumbs way up.

I have other books by Ms. Jackson and this one, like the others, was very satisfying. I felt she kept it real while at the same time keeping the romance alive.

I love Brenda Jackson, unfortunately this romance novel didn't do it for me. Not the best romance I've read, but it was okay. The characters were not very memorable. The story just didn't grab me. The romance and intimacy lacked it's usual spicy, heat that Mrs. Jackson usually gives us. It just didn't have enough depth to pull you and get you caught up in the main characters. But it was a cute idea, that just fell short between the pages.

Brenda Jackson is at her steamy best in this sexy and poignant interracial romance. Tag, the hero, is the handsome heir to a wealthy family while the heroine, Renee is a hardworking social worker. I loved the way these "opposites" attracted and shared a genuine love that was not bound by race or color. I think this was a very brave book for Brenda Jackson to write. It is one of my all time favorites.
