I really enjoyed this book! It was not just a tale of the relationship between two sisters, but a tale of relationships in general. The good, the bad, the happy, the sad, that comes into every life, and how different people handle the same situations in many different ways.

This book was different but really interesting. The title describes it best. There are some funny and whitty parts in the book that makes you want to keep reading it to see what happens next.

Ehhh. An alright read, nothing great but not horrible. It wasn't the Brit in the book that made it less than desirable, it was the vast amount of drama. I felt as though every chapter ended with some kind of dramatic event that was more intense than it should have been. I got whiplash from everything that happened.

I don't think I will be passing this along to anyone I know. By the end of the book, I don't think anything else could have occurred to these sisters. You name it, they had it happen to them. It was just a little too much for this book. I think a few things could have been cut and the story could have still been complete.

I am a huge fan of Anna Maxted, I love all of her books although I have found that they often start of very slow and take a while to get into, but are definitely worth it. Unfortunately this was not the case with "A Tale of Two Sisters". It started slow and never picked up. The characters were boring and despite the fact they were in very sympathetic situations, I just didn't care enough about them to have sympathy. There were several secondary characters, none of whom added much to the story. I just found the whole thing flat and uninteresting. I hope this was just a glitch in the Maxted repitoire and she continues to write the interesting, page turners that I have come to love.

I had been hesitant to read this as I had picked up another Anna Maxted book that I just could not get through, but I really loved this book! It was at times really sad, but also quite touching and funny. All the characters were so well developed; I really hated to see this book end. Very highly recommend it!
