This novel contains riveting accounts of mind control, describes the horrific existence of humans turned into snakes and giant cockroaches, and depicts aliens who, for the first time, report what it is like to be transformed into humans. They have come from distant worlds and out-of-the-way galaxies. They have gathered on Earth to observe, explore...and plunder. But first they must find humans capable of hosting personalities and thoughts transmitted across the cosmos. Slowly, insidiously, the painstaking process of selection and possession begins. Soon they will occupy our bodies and inhabit our souls, filling us with fear and astonishment, driving us to ecstasy and insanity. Frederik Pohl and other Sci-Fi authors (Andre Carneiro, Harry Harrison, Brian Aldiss, Karl Michael Armer, and others) have all written a series of short stories that have the same theme: beings from other planets possess humans and engage in an interstellar conference on Earth. Both fun and creepy!
