This book has helped me tremedously. There were so many areas that I wanted to have help with for my oldest, who has just turned nine. And amazingly all of those areas that I was concerned with were mapped out in this book. They lay out each area that tweens go through and that parents need to help them adjust to in specific detail, even alternating back and forth between "He" and "She" in each chapter to not make it seem as if they are being gender specific. I have the section on puberty and "The talk" earmarked for repeated reference. *laughs*
