Frank Frazetta cover! Burroughs often follows the conceit of framing his stories as "true" accounts, documents discovered in an attic or sent in a mysterious parcel, etc. You'll get a kick out of the framing device in this volume. The main story, of course, is as splendidly savage as ever, with a different character taking the spotlight from Emperor David Innes.
