I don't think I ever read such a boring book.

This story is about group of neighbors with small children living in the suburbs. They drink wine, have bbq's and gossip. One mother with toddler twins goes missing while in the midst of a divorce.

The rest of the book is speculation about the missing family as the ex-husband to be moves into the abandoned house. Police are involved, friends are interviewed, and the book goes nowhere.

The end has a bit of a twist but all in all it's tedious and dull.

In the beginning, I thought the plot might be intriguing. The characters had potential. As I continued to read, I found myself feeling like I'd already plodded through so much of it, that I needed to finish! The ending was as though the author had simply gotten tired of writing, so she threw in a happily ever after ending and went to bed. If I'd wanted to read a Harlequin Romance, I would have. I was disgusted that I'd wasted my time!

This book kept me guessing. I changed my mind several times about how it was going to play out. Great beach read!
