A book in which nothing much happens. Two girls make their come-out in London and do all the shopping and partying their hearts can desire. They meet many eligible gentlemen. Not until three quarters of the way through the novel do any of these things begin to add up to anything. It's a peaceful read, and it's loaded with regency trivia, but there's little drama or growth of the characters in it. No sex, for those who care about that.
