Madeline Singer was a stay-at-home mom who is now coping with empty nest syndrome. Her husband, an investor, lost all of their life savings, leaving nothing but a fixer-upper beach house.

Avery Lawford is an architect. But she soon found herself playing second fiddle to her husband on their TV show. Divorcing him, she thought herself to be financially sound with an inheritance but she comes to find out it was lost in a financial scheme. All that is left is part ownership in a fixer-upper beach house.

There there is Nikki Grant, a matchmaker, who loses all of her money in a financial scheme. The unfortunate part is that the mastermind behind the scheme was her own brother. Fortunately, she is left part ownership in a fixer-upper beach house.

These women have never met before in their lives, but they come together to try and piece the beach house back together and themselves. Ten Beach Road is a compelling story of friendship, finding yourself and love. It's full of warmth and humor and at times will make you cry. Wendy Wax does a fabulous job of twisting the plot, leaving you begging for more as you fervently turn the pages. If you read one book this summer, read Ten Beach Road!! By the way, I find the cover to be delightful! It really draws the eye and makes you wonder about the woman on the beach. A highly recommended read!
