Really loved this book. It was so captivating and the words were so eloquently written. I was addicted from the beginning.
In this story we find a young girl named January that lives with her care taker, Mr. Locke. Her dad is in the picture but he comes and goes on adventures all the time and she rarely gets to see him. When he disappears she acquires a book about doors. Not just any doors but ones that talk of other lands. In this book she finds her past and her magic.
One thing that bothered me was the way January acted sometimes. She had issues with "drifting off" and it caused some serious issues. You just wanted to reach through your own door and smack her. This was a minor issue and didn't take away from the book for most part. Highly recommended!

A fun and magical adventure. Although sometimes stressful and aggravating, it is still quite enjoyable.
