Good book, but doesn't seem to go into as much "depth" as most of MacArthur's other books. More or less this is just a brief overview of the Biblical history of Israel and some of the other countries in the Middle East surrounding them, and the ancient roots of political and religious issues of jihad and terrorism.
If this is a subject you have studied previously, you may be disappointed with this book. However, if this is new material to you, then this is a good book to begin learning with, as it will lay the foundation of Biblical Israel's beginings, and ultimate finish.

The Bible's teaching about sin and human condition plainly reveals that human heart is wicked, capable of horrendous acts of evil. The Bible assures us that God is still in control and He will ultimately defeat evildoers and put an end to evil forever. There is reason to hope and trust in God, even in the midst of uncertainty and strife.
