Title:

Teryaki Pork Roast

Dish: Entrees
Dish Type: Pork
Cooking Method: Crockpot
Difficulty: 2 / 10
Servings: 6
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 5 hours

Ingredients
  • 1 - 3-lb pork loin (halved)
  • 3/4 cup - apple juice (unsweetened)
  • 2 tbsp - sugar
  • 2 tbsp - soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp - vinegar
  • 1 tsp - ground ginger
  • 1/8 tsp - pepper
  • 2 tbsp - butter
  • 2 tbsp - flour
Directions

*** If you don't have a slow cooker, use a big pot on top of your stove.

Place pork loin into greased slow cooker. Mix apple juice, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, ginger and pepper  and pour over top. Cook on high for 5 hours.

When pork loin is done, remove from pot and let it rest. Careful when removing it from pot - it will tend to fall apart. Try not to let that happen because meat will be a little dry. Let it rest.

Meanwhile, pour gravy out of slow cooker into smaller vessel. Strain gravy.

Make a roux with flour and butter. Slowly whisk in strained gravy. The result should be a smooth and silky, rich gravy. Serve over top of pork loin.
