Jessica moved back to Chicago after her divorce. John decides to try out for the FBI's elite (of the elite) Hostage Rescue Team after he catches his girlfriend cheating on him with his best friend. To add salt to the wound, all his friends knew- and no one told him. J & J also have a history; they were both in the same recruitment class. Both made assumptions about the other & actions were misinterpreted. Now, they need to work together on an assignment.
This was an entertaining enemies to lovers story. Both characters were well flushed out and I understood their motivations. Kept me engaged for the whole book.
