Demystifies how we got here - a careful, deliberate use of language on the part of the right to make dissent, even rational thought, quite difficult. Luckily, it ends with a how-to section for the progressives to re-frame the debate. Lakoff offers terms and phrases to use to counter all the inuendo used to control and limit discussion.

The most lucid laying out of the differences between conservatives and progressives (which is why I stopped half way through - I didn't want the lucidity to be sullied). I'm not sure of his dichotomy of strict father/nurturing parent can explain everything, but it does enough.
