Very good book in the series, enjoyed very much. Finally getting toward the end, dirty cops, border problems and all. Good light romance and great messages are delivered.

Threat of Exposure by Lynette Eason Texas Ranger Justice Book 5
Gisella Hernandez, the only female Ranger at Company D, has been sent to Boot Hill, Texas to figure out the initials that were found on Axle Hudson's flash drive. She became a Ranger to fight drugs and it's a battle that is personal to her. If only her parents could appreciate what she is fighting for rather than worrying about her. Marriage and a family are something she desires but not many men approve of a woman with a dangerous job, she found that out already. Now she is teamed up with DEA Agent Brock Martin and her protected heart has begun to beat once again. Poor timing considering the danger that is surrounding them.
Brock Martin wondered why the Ranger's would send this beautiful woman into such a dangerous job but after she saves his life, he realizes maybe she can take care of herself. As they go into Boot Hill they quickly find they are not welcome there. Whether the folks are just scared or just old fashioned unfriendly it is clear they want them gone. Between a car explosion, a ransacked room with added threats, a near drowning, a hotel clerk who is OCD, skittish waitresses and more. All of it clearly telling them to leave their town. Now.
Brock knows his job is dangerous and the undercover work was too much for his ex-fiance. Now for the first time he can remember his heart is pulling him towards a woman like never before. Gisella would understand his work but could he love a woman who puts herself in the same type of danger as he does? On the other hand, could he live without this woman? First they need to find who is smuggling drugs into the country and where. And who is willing to murder to continue doing so.
They know more about Quin Morton, the Irishman in the coma, but he is still not alert enough to tell them who killed Captain Gregory Pike. The progress continues along with more murders and mayhem along the way.
