This odd little hybrid is not-quite-cosy but far from detective story. The "three dirty women" of the title are barely present, and the main thrust of the story defaults to the chief of police, who is very slow to figure out the truth behind the murders at a small-town retirement home.

I really liked this book. It was a good mystery. I just couldn't put this book down.
