The novel of Dunkirk told from 6 different viewpoints; 3 are civilians captaining little ships ferrying men off the beaches, and three are soldiers making their way to Dunkirk and waiting to be taken back to England. Compelling story, lots of tension -- if you know nothing of Dunkirk this is a wonderful introduction -- a good read whatever your level of knowledge about this dark point in history.
