The only story I read in this anthology was "Cradle Song" by Jill Marie Landis.

Adam Stroud trades furs and other goods with the Nez Perce Indian tribe. While he is there, he spots a white woman sitting by herself. Asking his friend Runs-With-the-Wind about the woman, he is told that she was traded to them by the Crow. She doesn't speak and seems catatonic. He calls her Walking-Dead-Woman. Adams decides to buy her so he can take her back to town to find her family. She travels with him to his cabin and begins to trust him. As she comes out of her catatonic state, he learns that she doesn't remember anything about her past.

Well, this story was unique. I thought the romance portion was flat, but the conversations between Adam and some of his Indian friends were amusing. My rating: 3 Stars.

One very special baby cradle carved long ago with love and care binds together three stories celebrating the joys of motherhood--

Debbie Macomber: a touching story of a jilted bride longing for marriage and motherhood.

Jill Marie Landis: a heartwarming tale of a mother-to-be who's lost her memory.

Gina Ferris Wilkins: the heirloom cradle works its unexpected baby magic on a completely unsuspecting woman.
