I really didn't like Julian in the first two books of the series, so I was worried that this book was not going to be one that I enjoyed. This book was my favorite of the series by far. Julian ended up being such a tender-hearted hero...the kind that makes you wish the book would never end. I thought the heroine's character was also unique and well-drawn out. The Stud Club and Leo's murder made for an interesting backdrop throughout the series, and is nicely (and surprisingly) wrapped up in this book. 4 1/2 stars from me!

I agree with the other reviewers. Julian was such a jerk in the prior installments that I just "knew" I would not like this one. I was wrong. It was the best of the bunch! I'm in love with Julian myself. My heart just broke for him and his secret life was great. Lily wasn't a shrinking violet either with a great deal of personality and grit. This book is stand alone, but you wont appreciate it as much if you dont read the other two first.

Wow. A fantastic ending for the Stud Club...I'd wished we had gotten to know Leo more in the previous two books, well, I got my wish.
And Julian Bellamy became more than just the hero of the book. He will definitely be one who sticks with me...even if he could be an unmitigated ass at times.
I liked the idea of the Stud Club, and I liked how the theme of Leo's murder set off such a chain of events throughout the trilogy.

I liked the series didn't love it. I just think I am burnt out on this historical timeframe, 1800's. It is not exciting enough and the men are not manly enough for me. That all being said the 3rd book in the series does have my favorite and most likable couple of the trilogy, Julian and Lily, and I was looking forward to their romance. I think because of that romance, very sweet and genuine, I ended up enjoying this book. The mystery which started in the first book never really was that intriguing. The climax all came out of left field in the end. Sure the loose ends were tied up, but I wish they would have solved some of it through out the first 2 books instead of leaving it all until the last 50 pages. Very good Epilogue though, I like when the author comes back many years later to give a glimpse all the characters lives; how many kids they have, etc.

This is the last book in the series and I have to say I am glad this book is over. It was great to finally find out all the mysteries and secrets. I do agree with one of the other reviewers about how she could have put them into the other two books instead of shoving(and that's what it seems like) all of them into the last 50 pages.
Be prepared that the storyline really bogs down and they have sex for 6-10 pages a stretch. Really! She could have shortened this book by about 75 pages.
I loved the ending! Great wrap up, all in all a great series.

This was my favorite book in the trilogy. I didn't expect Julian to be my favorite but this book proved me wrong. I loved how protective he was of Lily. I liked all three books but this is the one I'll remember.
