This reprint of an original book first published in 1945 is an appealing little book that teaches character-building ideals, such as good manners, following directions to accomplish a task, being polite and gracious, being happy with the work you are doing, etc. All the odd-numbered pages have neat full-color illustrations by C. Reginald Dalby, reminiscent of other children's books of the 1940's. I think this book offers the kind of stories young children need to hear, so they can learn worthwhile attributes.
