This book has a nice ending.

This is the second book in the fabulously fun "Tales of the Galactic Midway" series, but it can easily stand alone. (The others are Sideshow, The Wild Alien Tamer, & The Best Rootin' Tootin' Shootin' Gunslinger in the Whole Damned Galaxy). Like other Resnick work, this takes a distinctly human/earth milieu (in this case the circus sideshow) and translates it to the frontier of outer space.
