This is a difficult book to review. On one hand, it was a quick read in a 'can't look away from a train wreck' kind of way. The author clearly overcomes a lot and makes a postive outcome out of a very bad situation, but on the other hand it is very difficult to read without judgement. Although she explains the evolution of her relationship with her husband and that he was very nice and seemed reformed, it is difficult to accept that the fact that he had been imprisoned for murder wasn't more of a red flag.

I really enjoyed this book. It was well-written and told the story of her being married for just one month and her new husband committed a terrible crime. It also told about how she met her husband and also the aftermath. What she went through was absolutely mind boggling. Anyone would enjoy this book and she was one tough lady.
