This book, the 3rd and final book in the Pearl Street series, was a fitting end to this wonderful series about a street and its inhabitants in Bootle, just outside of Liverpool, during the early years of WWII. Very involving characters and situations. If you enjoy the books of Lilian Harry, you would enjoy this series as well.
