Wrapping up the loose threads from Footprints of Thunder, this sequel loses steam as the premise becomes more and more convoluted. Still with plenty of dino action, the "orgone energy" whisks characters and carnosaurs from the Moon to the Yucatan to alt-futures. The bad guy gets his just deserts but can the heroes stabilize time and save the future?

A really great read. Sequel to Footprints of Time, where a time slip allowed dinosaurs to roam the modern world. Years later, the time slip was closed, but WHOOPS here we go again- a radical group opens another slip and a group of scientists/hunters has to find a way to stop them. Lots of action, great characters (both good and misguided/arrogrant), very well written.

The second book in this series is as much fun as the first. All the old friends from the first book are back and faced with a reccurance of the time quilts. This time, however, they are no accident.

Several groups apparently are attempting to manipulate time for their own agendas. Our heroes are simply trying to preserve the past...and future as they are.

In a storm of nuclear weapons, eccentric buildings and space travel, the present is threatened with annialation.

The second half of this book is very hard to follow as you travel through numerous times on the moon, in South America, in Alaska and everywhere and when else. String theory and quantum machanics are involved leading to even greater confusion.

In the end, I'm not really sure if our past and present are saved or changed or splintered into several alternate realities.

Nevertheless, "Thunder of Time" is a really good read with lots of action and great characters who were developed in the first book. Read them both,in order, and you will have a good time.

I've got to read this book for two reasons. First off, it sounds like a good read and secondly, there aren't any reviews on here other than what's probably written on the back cover of the book and that, to me, smacks of a challenge :)
I'm rating it 3 stars for now and will update it and write my review afterward.

Ten years ago, the prehistoric past collided with the present as modern humanity suddenly found itself sharing the earth with fierce dinosaurs. After desperate measures were taken to halt the disruptions, the crisis appeared to be over.

Until time begins to unravel once more.

Nich Paulson, director of the newly formed Office of Security Science, discovers that time is being manipulated by unknown parties using a mysterious new technology. The very integrity of the space-time continuum appears to be at risk.

To preserve both the future and the past, Nick and his allies must uncover the secrets hidden in a lost temple at the center of a dino-infested jungle, and in an enigmatic structure on the surface of the moon. But they are not alone in their quest, A cult of ruthless fanatics is also intent on controlling the time waves, and they will stop at nothing to reshape history to their own design.
