I had forgotten how much I love to read memoirs!! I definitely recommend this book to any nature lover, or anyone who needs a bit of vacation and self discovery rolled together. You begin to feel a connection to the land right along side the author. 5 stars!

I love books about outdoors and especially about Alaska. I loved the descriptions that this author wrote and I could feel myself there with her in Alaska. The book/story lives up to the beautiful cover on the book. It feels like I should be sitting in the kayak surrounded by water as far as you can see, by mountains, and amazing clouds on that the book cover picturesexcept for the fact that I've never kayaked. Enjoy this read if you are lucky enough to order this book, as I was on a wish list for it for a while and finally it became available so I was lucky indeed.
