The Tightwad Gazette books are about teaching you how to fish. As a single woman who does not have any children, there are quite a few recommendations in this book that are not applicable to me. However, because the author details the process of how she determines the cheaper solution and shows her calculations, I can apply her thought processes to my specific situation.
The essays are informative and inspiring.
The book has a couple of pages in the book on how to save money quilting. Since quilting is my favorite hobby, that was my favorite part of the book.
