This is an interesting story of 13-year-old Ginny, who goes to spend the summer with a father she barely knows while her mother undergoes treatment for breast cancer. Ginny's father lives in England and is a professor of archaeology. He is busy with a project, and Ginny must participate: living in an Iron Age village. This is a story of acceptance and love. Ginny must come to terms with her situation, and her mother's illness--but in the process, will she come to appreciate her life? Interest level would be 5th grade and up.
