I just got my email. I was chosen for Romantic Suspense. I enjoy this genre so I am happy!

I was chosen for Romantic Suspense, too.  I don't remember the order of my top three requests, but RS was definitely up there.  I wonder if they are making more of an effort this year to get judges their first choice.

My category is "Inspirational."   Hooray for this program ... and for free books! 

Did anybody get their books yet?  No word on mine!

Nope.      Isn't this later than last year?  (which was later than the year before.....)

Last year, I received my books on Feb. 13 so hopefully we should be receiving our books soon.

Last year I didn't get to participate (they put me in a category I didn't want so I decided not to judge).  However, looking back at the year before and the year before that, in 2012 I got the books in early February (I remember they were mailed priority that year).  However, in 2011 I didn't get them until early March (that time they were sent Media Mail).  

On another note, I searched through my old emails to see when I received things in previous years, and I think this year's inspirational coordinator is the same person who was last year's rude historical coordinator.  I think she's using her pen name this year, but I'm pretty sure they're one and the same.

I emailed Callie over the weekend to see if they had been mailed yet.  She said they had not, but they would go in the mail sometime this week.  Awesome.  We'll have a whole six weeks to read the four books.  I may be looking up the Cliff Notes!

I got mine. Historical Romance. 2 are wish listed.

I haven't gotten anything yet either.  It is funny that I decided to check this PBS thread before emailing the coordinator to see if they had been mailed yet (LOL)

Got my books in yesterday's mail. Things are really behind this year - maybe it's weather related with people not being able to get to work. Anyway, I judged in 2 categories last year and by the end of Feb. had read and judged all 8 books. Just getting my 4 books yesterday means it'll be sometime in March before they're read and I've been able to turn in my scores. On a plus note, 3 of the books are WL and they all look like they'll be great reads. Looking forward to starting.

I got my books for the YA category yesterday and to my amusement, one of them is Christian fiction. 

I still don't have mine. Our weather is making mail slow but kinda worried about getting them read in time. 

I'm with you, Charity ... no books yet and concerned about sufficient reading time to meet the NRCA guidelines.

I have still not received the books to judge. If they have not been mailed yet, please take me off the list for this year. At this late date, by the time they get here, i would have less than six weeks to read the four books and that is just not enough time for me. That is very disappointing because I have enjoyed judging the last two or three years. But it seems that the administration of the judging gets less organized every year.

The books have gone out, and several people have already received them. We had some problems this year with getting judges to confirm their addresses, and the books can't be distributed until we know exactly how many readers we have.

I'm sorry for the delay, and I hope you will be able to read the books when they arrive. If you need some extra time, I'm sure we can arrange that.

I received my book package today - 2 full-length novels (one is third in a series - ugh) and 2 "Love Inspired"-type books.  This should be interesting ...

Mine came in this morning. Two love inspired and two very short length novels. The two regular books are by authors I have never heard of before but who knows, I might enjoy them. 

My books came also.

Charity - you typed just about word for word what I was going to say.  The two short novels seem like they will be good.  I skimmed several pages and almost got hooked.  I've also never heard of the publishers either but guess they could be self-published.

My one short novel is a mystery so I am sure I will enjoy that one:) I am a sucker for a good suspense novel. 

I received my books yesterday. can't wait to read them!! I got inspirational too.

Still haven't gotten mine.  :(  Hopefully today's mail.
