Boring Horrible Book!! Not funny. This book is nothing like I had expected. I expected it to be funny and along the same line as a Celia Rivenbark, Jen Lancaster or Laurie Notaro book. Instead this is a whiny, bitching and complaining book about the authors life (hence hardships) as a Jew. All of her hardships in life relate to her being a Jew or "Jewess" as she calls herself. The book is almost offensive to blondes and even most white people. We are "disciples of our Royal White Family of George and Laura Bush and their Sexy White Offspring" (pg3) She thinks blondes who are pretty are responsible for the "porno-ization of America"- yet she LOVES Miss America pagants and reality tv stars. ????? She believes blacks (which she wanted capitalized throughout the book but was not) are superior even though despite her best efforts most shunned her throughout her life. She wanted the book called "Why Jews go to the bathroom with the door open" but the editor didn't want jews or bathroom in the title because of narrowing the audience. I wish it would have had the title because it would have saved me from buying it! The word jew is in one story 267 times and in the book OVER A THOUSAND TIMES!(pg.93) I am not jewish so maybe that is why all of the book was foreign to me and not funny. It was not at all interesting, highly opinionated and I had a hard time reading it. I kept reading thinking it would get batter but I think it got worse! Her feminist rants are hypocritical because the next story goes against things she complained about previously.

After waiting for this book for one year...I was excited to read it.....Wow, was I disappointed! Yes, there were some funny, funny moments, but on the whole...such whining!!! So contradictory! She rants against the pornification of American women, but loves beauty pageants. I raced through this hoping it would improve, but that was not to be-
