Tom had recently graduated from college with a degree in Criminal Justice, and had been hired on to work as a Security Consultant for Target. Tammi was a young cashier, she had just gotten her first paycheck and bought herself something. The store was having problems with employee theft. Tom decided to station himself at the employee exit and check all employee packages as they went out. When Tammi was got ready to leave, she would not let Tom check her package. Tammi kept clutching her tiny package to her chest and telling Tom that she had bought the item there, it was none of his business, it was her package, she was honest, she did not have to show him what she had, she definitely had paid for the item, but no, he could not see the receipt, would he please just let her go home. Tom kept insisting that he was checking all packages and that Tammi could not leave until he could actually see inside her package. Finally, someone called the Store Manager. With a great deal of reluctance, a good deal of embarassment, and anger, Tammi let Tom see inside her package and find that it was new underwear. They were married a year later.
