2nd story in this trilogy. It takes place in Colorado Springs, Denver, at the turn of the century. Involving three sisters, Belle, Charisma, & Grace Sullivan. Make three wishes, standing in front of a statue called The Three Graces, in The Garden of the Gods. They were Beauty for Belle, Charm for Charisma, Grace for Grace. Granted of course (by their named sakes) The Three Graces (or Greek Goddesses) stitting atop of Mount Olypmus. Sounds farfecthed? Of course it does. It's still a charming story.
I didn't realize this was a series and I hate reading them out of order! I also don't normally like historical fiction either but I have to say I really did love this book and now I'm going to get the other two! I love the main character in this book, she was funny and lovable and I'm glad it had the happy ending that it did.
How an outspoken girl interested in the politics of 1800's Colorado finds a fan for her own special kind of charm.
Most folks in Colorado Springs find Charisma Sullivan's outspokenness the opposite of charming. But senatorial candidate Will Barclay is intrigued by her intelligent views. Realizing that a lovely sweetheart would be a campaign asset, Will asks Charisma to pose as his escort until the election. But, despite the gentle guideance of Thalia, a senator's widow, Charisma's candor lands her in hot water....
